Good day Sir
I’m interested in Zen Buddhism but I find it’s very difficult to practice without a proper guidance from a master. I’m want to learn from a master can you guide me sir.
I am not Jinen Roshi, but I can introduce you to him. First, please tell me about your interest in Zen, and how long you have been practicing. What attracted you to Zen?
I’m an Indian-Tamil guy from Malaysia. My interest in spirituality began when I was working onboard ships, and I used to read books about non-duality (Advaita Vedanta) by Ramana Maharishi after work, practise self-inquiry, and struggle with consistency when I meditated.
I like to read books about spirituality and find Master Dogen’s teachings unique, but I know very little of his teachings and would like to properly learn the teachings from a current living master.
After a few years, I have developed dispassion and feel a strange sense of emptyness within me. I think I have done something wrong.
And is it normal, sir, to feel this way?
I want to learn Zen, practise from my heart, and get a true understanding of the Great Vehicle.
Recently, I only discovered your blog and your work is genuinely amazing sir.
