One of the great pleasures, among many, of living in Japan, is being able to observe and take part in the multitude of fantastic festivals that occur throughout the year. Today, I attended a small festival near my home, where I could try out my latest camera.

Times have changed since this photograph was taken, back in 2010. At that time, we were campaigning for Aung San Suu Kyi’s release from imprisonment. Now, she is the de facto leader of Burma.
